Tyler Mullins

John Tyler Mullins, who prefers to be called Tyler, is originally from Hazard, Kentucky. He attended Perry County Central High School and went on to graduate cum laude from Emory & Henry College in 2014 with degrees in Economics and Political Science. During his time at Emory & Henry, Tyler was actively involved in extracurricular activities, including playing on the Men’s Basketball team from 2010 to 2014 and serving on the Student Athlete Advisory Council from 2011 to 2014. He was also recognized for his academic achievements, being inducted into the Phi Sigma Alpha Honor Society, Blue Key Honor Society, and earning ODAC Academic All-Conference honors from 2012 to 2014.

Tyler furthered his education at the University of Kentucky College of Law, graduating in 2017. While in law school, he served on the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture and Natural Resources Law and held a position on the Executive Board of the Federalist Society. He gained practical experience working as a law clerk for Blackhawk Mining, LLC, and interning for Senator Rand Paul in his Washington, D.C. office during the summer of 2015. Tyler also worked as a law clerk for Boehl, Stopher & Graves, LLP in Lexington, Kentucky.

Currently, Tyler focuses his legal practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, and entity formation. His experience includes representing a buyer in the acquisition of 10 franchise trampoline parks across seven states, handling a mezzanine financing transaction to restructure over $15 million in debt, and representing clients in commercial real estate sales, acquisitions, lease transactions, and syndicated and bilateral loan transactions.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys golfing, playing basketball, reading fantasy and science fiction novels, collecting comic books, and hunting. He serves as a board member of the AUVSI Ridge and Valley Chapter, a position he has held since early 2024.
